BSC Eintracht/Südring

With about one thousand members, BSC Eintracht/Südring is the largest sports club in Kreuzberg. Almost half of its members are children and youth. 45 percent of its members have migrant backgrounds.
The club is located at Baerwaldstraße 35 in “Kreuzberg 61“. The variety of sports offered ranges from soccer, badminton, tennis, and table tennis to fitness and health classes, Taek Won Do, volley ball, and women’s handball.
Eintracht/Südring is best known for its badminton players. The division, which was founded in 1957, won the first national championship in 1996/97. Their victory of the Europa-Cup championship in 1999 was the most important achievement of the club so far.
In general, the club endorses the amateur spirit. About 60 volunteers look after the divisions and take care of management tasks. The club has been contributing a vital share to the development and fostering of youth work for many years. Taking pleasure and joy in communal sporting activities has therefore always been most important.
