Original text:
On March 21, people all over the planet take to the streets to jointly protest racial discrimination and to foster solidarity. In Germany, events will take place in several towns and cities.
For several years, there has been a demonstration taking place in Berlin-Rudow for the occasion. This year, the alliance Bündnis Neukölln as well as the initiative “Rudow empört sich“, together with many supporters, call to join their demonstration, which is scheduled to start at 13:00 at Rudower Spinne (U7 Rudow).
The demonstration also takes place in light of the continuing series of right-wing extremist assaults happening in Neukölln, by which different politically active persons are affected. The daily newspapers Berliner Zeitung and Tagesspiegel have reported on the most recent developments.
The call for the demonstration of March 21 states:
For years, neo-Nazis have been committing assaults in Rudow, Britz, and Nord-Neukölln on people politically active against racism and fascism, engaged to foster democracy and tolerance and active in refugee initiatives. The right-wing terror is targeted at them to spread fear, against which we weigh in our solidarity.
