Berlin gegen Nazis goes to the movies

In the past, Berlin against Nazis has supported extensive civil society protests against right-wing extremism, anti-Semitism and racism – and has documented them on film, among other things. From this film footage, we now compiled a trailer to be screened at the cinema.

Berlin gegen Nazis is very happy that cinemas can open their auditoriums to the public again, providing hygiene concepts that guarantee a safe and infection-proof environment for both the operators and the audience.

The pandemic also presented a great challenge for Berlin against Nazis, the civil society counter protests and the trailer; which all participants tried to meet with the necessary distance, mouth and nose protection and various formats, both online and offline.

The trailer shows the manifold protests of Berlin’s civil society from the years 2018 and 2020 and transports the power of these protests on the screen of the movie theater. Protest under pandemic conditions can also be forceful protest committed to infection control and the solidary concern for the health of all involved.

It remains essential to actively defend a democratic society and to openly position oneself against racism, right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism when attempts are made to occupy the streets of Berlin with hatred.

Protest lives through participation: United – at a distance! Find out more about Berlin against Nazis.
